Bailey and Mikes Wedding
What was your favorite feature?
My favorite part of my dress was the lace. It looked delicate but it was very soft and comfortable. The small piece of lace between the bust was a nice touch. The long train was somewhat traditional but the modern bohemian vibe the lace had kept it very modern. I was able to wear it all night long even in the hot Costa Rican summer. It was just as gorgeous with the train pinned as it was when it was laid out. It was easily carried through both airports as it was very light.
How did you feel in your wedding dress?
My dress made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world. I remember trying it on for the first time while looking for dresses and I knew it was the one. There’s not another dress that would make me feel as elegant and stylish as the one I chose. I didn’t want to take it off to go to sleep that night, my husband and I must have walked the entire property five times before going to bed just so I could wear it a few minutes longer.
Tell us a little about your wedding day.
We are from Toronto, Canada and traveled to Guanacaste, Costa Rica with 35 of our closest friends and family. We got married on the beach in the dark volcanic sand as the sun was setting and waves were crashing. My dad and stepfather walked me down the aisle to Led Zepplins over the hills and far away. The ceremony was short but very romantic. We laughed and cried when exchanging our vows and rings. We walked down the aisle hand in hand celebrating our undying love and commitment to each other.
