Runway to Real Wedding: Romantic Woodland Wedding

Real Weddings | July 16, 2014

Woodland romance and glitter give this wedding the perfect amount of glam. Set against the backdrop of Armstrong National Forest in Gurenville, California, gorgeous Maggie Bride Ashley donned our dazzling Gianna gown for her wedding day. The result? This perfectly romantic woodland wedding. “I knew I wanted something unique, so I originally wanted a vintage dress that I could make my own,” Ashley said. “But I thought I should at least try some dresses on for the experience, and to make sure I didn’t rule out any options. After trying on about ten gowns, and seeing nothing that stood out to me, I finally found the one! I knew the moment I put it on that it was the one for me… It was sexy yet fun, and vintage looking all at the same time!” Still looking for an extra vintage flair, Ashley paired her stunning vintage-inspired dress with the headband from our Emilena gown. “It felt like it was missing something until I tried on the amazing Emilena headband, and that’s when I knew it was the dress for me!” We’re absolutely swooning over this beautiful woodland wedding… See more photos and read Ashley’s story below, and click on the links for more vintage wedding gown inspiration!

Dress: Gianna, paired with headband from Emilena

Favorite part of the dress: “The detail in the beading is what really sold me on the dress… It was so detailed and beautiful, and not white or ivory, which was a plus for me. I loved the way it made me feel!”

Favorite wedding day moment: “Being able to see Cheyne for the first time, and knowing that we were about to become man and wife was an amazing feeling. Also, having all of our closest friends and family there to share our special day with us… It was an amazing party!”

Advice for future brides: “Follow your heart, everyone is going to have an opinion, but it’s your big day!”

How did you and your now husband meet? “I met Cheyne on Valentine’s Day, at an anti-Valentine’s day party… Exactly when and where I least expected to meet the love of my life, and the man I would eventually marry!”

Your wedding in one word: “Amazing!”
