Paris, je t’aime… A Parisian Wedding
As if Paris wasn’t romantic enough, Maggie Bride Rachael and her husband Tyson, upped the ante with a stunning elopement in the city of love. Today we’re swooning over Rachael’s stunning wedding in Paris, where she wore our gorgeous Emma gown. “The Emma dress was literally the first dress that I fell in love with on the website,” Rachael said. “I went to several bridal stores that carried the Maggie Sottero brand and loved all of her dresses, but none of them had Emma. After calling around to several bridal shops I finally found it! I immediately drove to the store and just melted in the dress. I knew I had found the dress!” Read more about Rachael’s story and see more beautiful pictures below! (PS, notice Tyson’s undone bow tie? “My husband couldn’t figure out how to tie it! So we left it untied… I like to think it made for a more sexy wedding and pictures!”)

Dress: Emma
Favorite part of the dress: “I am in love with the detailed beading and lace, the beyond gorgeous sweetheart neckline and the medium to low cut of the back of the dress. I am so in love with my dress that I told my husband for our one year anniversary we’re dressing back up in our wedding attire and taking so many cute pictures! ”
Favorite wedding day moment: “The entire day! It really was such a romantic day. I really loved taking our wedding pictures around Paris. It was fun having many people congratulate us in french. Some where even taking pictures of us! I also really loved ending the night on the streets of Paris at a romantic restaurant near Notre Dame.”
How did you and your husband meet? “My husband and I met at a cocktail party in February of 2012. We passed each other on the stairs, and all of a sudden I heard him yell my name. I honestly could not remember who he was, or where he was from, but somehow he knew me. Consequentially, we had gone to the same high school, but I had no idea. He was friends with one of my friends, and that is how he came to know who I am. As soon as I heard him yell my name I looked at him strangely, wondering who this handsome man possibly could be. A week later we saw each other again randomly and he asked me out on a date that same day.”
Advice for future brides: “Enjoy living in the moment. Remember your wedding day is about you and your soon to be husband. Your love for each other. Personally, we decided to elope. Tyson and I were marrying each other, no one else. It was about our love and devotion to each other – Our happiness. Yes, things still don’t always go as planned ,even in an elopement wedding, but its not about all the things that went wrong. Its about the love and happiness shared with all the people you cherish most. ”
Your wedding in one word: “Romantic.”
What song played for your first dance? “We didn’t really have a first dance because we eloped, but we did dance to the beautiful music played on the streets of Paris!”
