Q: What are the essential items a bride should bring when trying on wedding dresses?

A: “A bride should bring whatever will make her feel her best while trying on wedding gowns. Whether that be a strapless bra, a pair of heels, or a specialty undergarment. If you plan on wearing any of these items underneath your gown on your big day, you should certainly bring them along to your appointment!”

Q: What tips do you have for brides who aren’t sure how to pick a dress?

A: “Think about how you want to look and feel on your big day. Some brides view their wedding dress as an opportunity to step out of their comfort zone, and really go big. Others see it as a way to express themselves and choose a dress that really suits their personality. Choosing your desired wedding look will help you choose the dress that best suits your style.”

Q: What is your favorite part about working with brides?

A: “Seeing a bride’s wedding vision come to life in the perfect dress is absolutely the best part about working with brides. The look on a bride’s face when ‘the dress’ get zipped or laced for the very first time, at that very moment, the energy and happiness is nearly contagious.”

Q: Which Maggie Sottero/Sottero & Midgley gown would you choose to wear for your wedding day?

A: “The one is easy… Shauna by Sottero & Midgley. Otherwise lovingly referred to by our consultants as the “Gatsby Dress”. The styling, bead work, and feathers make this dress a show-stopper, and one that guests would be telling all their friends about. What bride doesn’t want that?!”

Q: What’s your favorite bridal trend?

A: “Our favorite bridal trend right now is a detailed back. There are so many variations within this trend, from lace backs to open backs to sheer backs. The possibilities are endless, as are the dresses that accompany the cool backs. Gone are the days of looking like everyone else. There are so many options now, brides are guaranteed to walk down the aisle looking timeless and memorable.”

Q: If you could tell brides one thing, what would it be?

A: “Don’t over think it. Often times, brides stress too much over making the decision… It should be easy and effortless. When he asked you to marry him, you had no doubts. Choosing your dress should be just as easy.”
