Maggie Bride: Sarah Wahlberg

Real Weddings | May 24, 2013

In honor of the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, we’d like to take a moment and thank all of the servicemen serving our country – including our lovely Maggie Bride Sarah’s husband, Dave, who served in the Army. Thanks for all you do! Now, on to their beautiful wedding…  Sarah knew she had found her dress the moment she saw it in the mirror. “I walked out of the dressing room and my mom, sister, and bridesmaids all gasped. I hadn’t yet seen myself in the dress, but when I turned to the mirror, I knew that was it!” Take a look at Sarah’s gorgeous wedding below… even an unannounced guest, Hurricane Sandy, didn’t dampen the romance and glamour of this stunning wedding!

Dress: Jenna

Favorite part of the dress: “The corset! It pulled and cinched in all the right areas. I had the perfect form in that dress… The ruffles at the bottom were just what I was looking for – flirty and fun!”

Favorite wedding day moment: “Our first look. We did our first look inside the hotel lobby since Hurricane Sandy was an uninvited guest to our wedding. It turned out perfect and intimate, and we got to just enjoy each other for a few minutes before the craziness of the day settled in.”

Advice for future brides: “Take your time! Don’t rush the dress searching, even though it’s exciting to finally decide on a dress. I tried on lots of dresses – before and after Jenna – but none felt the same. If you have to second guess for even a second, it’s not the dress for you. Do what makes you happy; don’t let other opinions sway you from your dream dress decision.”
