Maggie Bride: Jessica Brakulis
Our Maggie Bride Jessica knew she wanted a Maggie Sottero gown from the very beginning. “I only wanted to try on Maggie dresses,” she said. “Dynasty was the sixth or seventh dress I tried on, and when I stepped out of the dressing room and watched the ruffles move as I walked down the runway… I just knew I had to wear this dress. The skirt was so fun and encompassed my bubbly personality. The dress fit my shape perfectly, and accented all the right features a bride wants to highlight on her wedding day.” We’re swooning over Jessica’s pink and grey wedding to her high school sweetheart… See more below!
Update: Our Dynasty gown is discontinued, but our Sorrento gown is another gorgeous fit-and-flare with layered tulle. It also comes in blush!

Dress: Dynasty
Favorite part of the dress: “The best part of the dress is the ruffles on the skirt – they are gorgeous and beautiful and hit me in just the right place. The dress was so comfortable to wear the whole day; it’s a lot of dress, however, the way it moved throughout the whole night was so fun!”
Favorite wedding day moment: “Our ceremony. We had a circle ceremony and being surrounded by all of our family and friends that traveled to Santa Monica (CA) was something spectacular. We felt everyone’s love and support while being in the middle, saying our vows. It was so intimate and special. If the day had ended after our ceremony, we would have been happy.”
Advice for future brides: “If you can, hire someone to help coordinate. Having my wedding coordinator was priceless. She helped keep me on track, knew what questions to ask my vendors, created a ‘day of’ timeline, and made my life stress free the day of my wedding. A coordinator is worth the investment and made my wedding the best day!”
How did you and your husband meet? “We’re high school sweethearts! We were introduced by his cousin, who happens to be my best friend, when we were 16. We became fast friends and one year later, we were ‘officially dating.’ We didn’t go to the same high schools, nor the same college. We maintained our long distance relationship for five years before he joined me in Los Angeles.”
Describe your wedding in one word: “Magnificent.”
