Maggie Bride Emma in Vintage Glam Wedding Dress

Maggie Bride Emma looks lovely and glamorous in her vintage glam wedding dress, Blakely! Romantic and elegant were the two words the bride used to describe how she wanted her wedding, and she succeeded with flying colors. Blakely was the perfect complement to Emma’s wedding, with a timeless silhouette and romantic details, from crystal embellishments to an illusion back. “My mom said I sparkled when I put it on,” Emma said. “I tried on a ton of dresses, and loved many of them, but when I put on Blakely, I couldn’t stop smiling.”

Emma and her handsome groom personalized the wedding with special touches. “My parents own a flower shop and everyone who works there is like family to us,” she said. “They all pitched in to help. Kyle’s sister designed the invites, my friends helped with personalized signs, my aunt and uncle made our seating chart, we had an entourage decorating and filling the ‘welcome bag’, just to name a few!” See more photos from her gorgeous wedding, and watch her wedding video below!

Favorite part of the dress: “The back! Oh my goodness…the back is stunning! It’s a beautiful mix of glam and vintage detail!”

Favorite wedding day moment:”I jumped for joy at the altar when we exchanged our vows! But my favorite part was walking down the aisle as husband and wife! All of our friends and family were smiling, laughing, crying, cheering…We were surrounded by so much love– it was the best feeling!”

Advice for future brides: “Really try to be in the moment! Once your day starts, don’t waste any time thinking about what’s next or what may have gone wrong – just soak up every moment! Oh – and do a “first look” with your dad – that was a great moment for me!”

How did you and your now husband meet?  “In college (SUNY Oneonta)! The last semester of our senior year we both took a racquetball class. Kyle asked me out when I was in my sweats and racquetball safely glasses…I knew he was a keeper!”

Your wedding in one word:  “Joyous!”

Did your wedding have a theme? How did you decide what elements to incorporate into your wedding? “My mom is a florist so I’ve grown up around flowers my whole life. I’ve had the chance to see so many different wedding themes – all beautiful in their own way! When it came time to create our “big day” we wanted it to be romantic and elegant. The reception venue was just that! There were some details we added to it – big ferns framing the band, garland around the “Mr” and “Mrs” chairs, lots and lots of flowers and plants everywhere (of course)!”

Did anything unexpected happen on your big day? “Everything went perfectly! My dad and I had a special dance prepared … we started off with “What a Wonderful World” and then jumped into “Start Me Up” by The Rolling Stones – it was a great surprise for our guests! And a fun time for my dad and I!”
