Tell us a little about you and your sweetheart. How did you two meet?
On a mission trip in Orange County, CA!
What was the moment you knew you had fallen in love?
There was no defining moment. All of a sudden it was there and never left.
How did he propose?
After a short hike, he proposed at the stunning Palisade Falls in Bozeman, MT.
What was the first thing you checked off your wedding-planning list?
The date—three months away!
When you started shopping for wedding dresses, what did you have in mind?
Sleeves and no lace.
Who is your style icon?
Jacey Duprie (Damsel in Dior).
Who did you invite to help you shop for gowns?
My grandmas, mom, and two sisters.
Speaking of pretty dresses, tell us about any gown you’ve worn or admired in your life… a prom dress? A family member’s wedding dress? A style from a movie?
A dress I’ve always admired is my mom’s wedding dress. She’s tall and slender so the off the shoulder straps and ball gown skirt looked so elegant. I love it!

How did you create the “look and feel” of your wedding?
I wanted everything hygge. Candles and pine needles everywhere with hints of New Years’ Eve gold.
What was the funniest part of your wedding day?
I biffed it trudging through the snow for photos.
What was the most surprising part of your wedding day?
A box of handwritten letters from loved ones.
What was the most magical part of your wedding day?
At dinner where we watched our favorite people enjoy a meal together in honor of our marriage.
What do you think your guests loved most about your wedding day?
The simplicity of it all. We wanted our day to be timeless without forcing our guest to feel out of place. Our favorite small-town environment created a relaxed environment filled with lots of laughter and dancing.
What advice do you have for brides tackling their wedding budget?
Choose what matters most to you and your groom because the rest won’t matter.
What advice do you have for brides choosing their wedding party?
Less is more. Choose a few of your favorite gals that you’re comfortable being emotional and vulnerable with. Keep in mind, they will be helping you in the ladies’ room too!
What advice do you have for brides overall?
My aunt told me to take a look around and soak up the day. Those mental pictures almost bring me to tears just thinking about it. It isn’t your dress or your makeup; it’s you and your groom, having the night of your lives with the people you love.
