Maggie Bride: Desiree Hartsock’s Outdoor Wedding
Today, we’re thrilled to share a wedding from a bride very close to our hearts… Desiree Hartsock‘s wedding, a romantic outdoor affair, has our wedding-loving hearts racing. Bachelorette sweetheart Desiree married Chris Siegfried in January, wearing a custom made wedding dress designed by Desiree Hartsock with Maggie Sottero. In an intimate ceremony held at the Wayfarer’s Chapel, a scenic glass church atop the rocky cliffs of Rancho Palos Verdes, Desiree and Chris exchanged personalized, heartfelt vows in front of a small gathering of family and friends. Desiree looked radiant in a form-fitting one-shoulder gown of embroidered ivory lace cascading down the bodice and into a full blush tulle skirt. A dramatic lace illusion neckline dropped over her shoulder, and gave way to a sexy bare back. Des wore her hair parted to the side and loosely curled, accented with a crystal clip. Following the ceremony, Desiree donned a red-carpet worthy reception dress. The reception dress, an elegant ivory chiffon sheath with a deep V-neckline, sheer cap-sleeves, and a stunning illusion keyhole back, all adorned with elaborate Art Deco crystal beading and finished with an ivory ribbon belt. Desiree designed both dresses for her big day. “I knew both dresses were complete when I felt like a bride in them, and wanted to share them with Chris on our wedding day,” Desiree said. Favorite wedding day moment: “Aside from dancing at the reception, my favorite wedding day moment would definitely be seeing Chris for the first time as I walked down the aisle. There are no other words to describe that moment other than magical.”
Advice for future brides: “Don’t stress the small stuff. A wedding day should be relaxed and memorable, not stressful and high anxiety. Something is sure to not go as well as you wanted, but that’s ok because overall it all works out in the end.”
Your wedding in one word: “Romantic.”
